One of the first indications a new diver is progressing in their skills is they begin to "shed the lead" from their weight belt or pockets. Experienced divers will very precisely adjust the amount of lead they carry and where they carry it in order to control their in-water trim, which can be difficult when the only weights available at the boat are the typical four, five, and six pound blocks. As a convenience for our customers, Dive Gear Express stocks the smaller soft weights but because of shipping they are not a good value and you may do better if you can purchase locally. The soft weights also have some benefit if you drop them on the boat deck or a foot.

These pre-packaged weight kits include a total of 12 pounds of lead shot weight in heavy-duty nylon mesh bags. Each bag contains #5 round lead shot of the designated weight. The lead shot is hardened with antimony and the nylon mesh bags are double needle stitched and color coded (colors may vary) for easy identification from a glance.

• Package A1 contains Qty 2 (1lb) Qty 2 (2lb) and Qty 2 (3lb) weights
• Package B2 contains Qty 6 (1lb) and Qty 2 (3 lb) weights
• Package C3 contains Qty 6 (2 lb) weights
• Package D4 contains Qty 4 (3 lb) weights

Price for lead weight does NOT include free shipping. We recommend you also order lead weight packages separately from anything else, i.e. don't include any items other than lead weight on the order. Sorry, but the packages are only priced and available in units of 12 pounds each, if you need more weight then order multiple packages. Due to the nature of this product, we must limit you to one weight package per order.
