Titanium 2 Chillproof
Titanium 2 Chillproof technology fabric garments by Sharkskin Watersports are made from a trilaminate material embedded with nanoparticles of titanium that adds the benefit of capturing and retaining more body heat. The inner layer provides a comfortable 'hollow yarn' fleece layer next to the skin that 'wicks' moisture from the body to help keep you dry on the surface. The middle technical layer breathes to help regulate body temperature while reducing heat loss. The outer layer is a nylon-lycra blend for abrasion resistance and exceptional four-way stretch. It is also UV resistant for sun protection and has a durable water repellent finish (DWR) that 'sheds' water. Thermal protection has tested equivalent to 4mm to 5mm neoprene, Titanium Chillproof garments can be worn as your primary exposure protection in waters down to {68° F | 20° C}. Unlike neoprene, Titanium 2 Chillproof garments are much thinner, easier to don and doff, neutrally buoyant, non-compressible and may also be worn underneath your primary exposure suit for additional thermal protection in colder water. Recently updated, T2 features greater flexibility for added comfort, a more robust outer layer for increased abrasion resistance and a new titanium color.

Follow these care instructions for best results with your Titanium Chillproof technology fabric product: Always after use please hand soak and rinse in cool fresh water, or for exceptionally soiled garments then machine wash on gentle-cycle in cold-water with a mild detergent formulated specifically for watersports exposure suits; hang to air dry and avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight during drying and storage. Do not bleach; do not iron; do not dry clean.
Many Mass-Market Cleaning Products Can Damage Your Dive Gear
It is important to only use specialized cleaners for the technical fabrics commonly seen in dive and watersports equipment, such as exposure garments and buoyancy control devices. The benefit of using specialized cleaning products for dive gear is they are formulated to clean and rinse away thoroughly without depositing residues or harming technical fabrics. As a general rule, we don't recommend using anything other than plain fresh clear water to clean the technical fabrics found in modern dive equipment.
Detergent cleaners work by reducing the "surface tension" of water so detergent molecules bind more readily with oil and dirt than with other water molecules, thus loosening oil and dirt from fibers. General purpose powerful detergents can harm specialized fabric treatments or even chemically react with characteristics of the technical fabrics. Unfortunately, mass-market cleaning and washing products (such as Tide, Gain, Arm&Hammer, and OxyClean) can also contain harmful additives such as foaming agents, optical brighteners, dyes, enzymes, fragrances and even bleach. The general purpose cleaning products typically leave residues that can impact the performance and lifespan of technical fabrics, particularly their suppleness and water repellency.
Cleaners are not routinely needed if you are diligent about not allowing your gear to dry after diving in sea water, and especially in chemically treated pool water, until you have soaked and rinsed thoroughly with ordinary water. One humorous rule of thumb we've heard is don't use anything stronger than clean fresh water until you are complaining about the smell. Even the best of the specialized watersports equipment cleaners like Revivex Shampoo should only be used when genuinely needed to remove exceptional soiling. If you want to sanitize your gear (which also helps reduce certain 'odors'), rather than a detergent or enzyme cleaner as part of your equipment maintenance routine, we suggest using Steramine.
