Double AL-80's are a value priced solution for light open water technical diving, and when configured as left and right singles are extremely popular for sidemount. A complete Double Cylinder Package from Dive Gear Express consists of: two cylinders, premium quality manifold with isolator, premium quality bands and bolts, left and right manifold port plugs. The cylinders each have a current month Nitrox Ready decal and depending on shipping restrictions normally arrive with modular valves and plugs installed, ready-to-use as independent single cylinders and ready-to-assemble as doubles.

† Our shop evidence of inspection 3" X 6" dated decal (aka "VIP sticker") states "this cylinder and valve are suitable for service with compressed gases containing greater than 23.5% oxygen." That means the cylinder and valve, prior to initial use, are oxygen clean and oxygen compatible. If you plan to use this cylinder with gases containing more than 40% oxygen then the upgrade to our DGX Premium Oxygen Valve is suggested.
A typical hogarthian equipment backmount configuration is these 7.25-inch diameter aluminum cylinders with a DIR harness, steel backplate, wing and a wetsuit. Many divers also like to add a V Trim Weight to aluminum doubles. Assembling a set of doubles is easy if you follow the detailed instructions we provide.

SCUBA Tanks must be hydrostatically tested every five years (60 months). The larger primary cylinders typically have a factory hydro date between 3 and 9 months old, but not more than 12 months old. Smaller cylinders may have a factory hydro date up to 24 months old as these are manufactured less frequently.
Our cylinders and valves are Imperial 3/4 NPS neck threads, NOT Metric M25 neck threads, and the valves have overpressure relief devices. The cylinders have US DOT and Canadian CTC markings suitable for use ONLY in North America. Our cylinders and valves are NOT CE approved and NOT suitable for use in the European Union. Cylinders are NOT marked appropriately for use in Australia and New Zealand.
