This threaded dust cap for DIN Regulators is machined from Delrin to reproduce the sealing surface of a DIN valve. When screwed to the DIN fitting on the regulator, debris and moisture is prevented from entering the DIN orifice of the regulator as well as protecting the threads.
Best practice when rinsing regulators in fresh water is to do so while the regulator is pressurized. This cap will make a tight seal with the DIN o-ring in the regulator first stage DIN inlet, such that the cap is suitable for sealing the first stage inlet when you wish to gently spray fresh water on the regulator to rinse. Regardless, avoid submerging an entire unpressurized regulator including the second stages in a dunk tank or rinse bucket as in some circumstances that can allow water to enter through the second stages and if not immediately blown out the moisture can travel up the hoses in to the first stage.
I have replaced all my other caps with this particular item. Works perfectly. I like to add a small bolt snap so I can clip them together and keep everything organized.
Very robust Delrin, does what it's supposed to perfectly.
Bought one first just to try out, immediately ordered a bunch again for all my regs.

These are awesome. And it's the best price for them. Leaves competition far behind. I've converted my four regulators to DIN and everywhere around price for a cap was $8-15. Spending around $30 for just four pieces of threaded plastic seemed unreasonable to me. $4 per cap is more agreeable. DGX has $1 caps too and they do the job just fine with slightly worse aesthetics.
