These are service parts for the Thermo brand valves manufactured by XS-Scuba and distributed by Sea Pearls. Note that in most cases these are not OEM supplied parts. The O-rings are oxygen compatible and supplied by Dive Gear Express.

The DGX Service Parts Kit for Thermo Valves contains the Plug and Seat Assembly (2), Copper Crush Washer gasket (16), O-rings and Teflon Packing (5) needed to service one Thermo single outlet valve of any model. Order two kits to service an H-valve configuration, and order three kits to service a dual-outlet manifold with isolator. Depending on the valve model and configuration you will have a few O-rings left over.

Designed to North American safety standards, Thermo valves always include a PRD (Pressure Relief Disk) assembly aka "burst disk" with a 3/8-24 UNF thread PRD opening on the end opposite the handwheel for standalone models, or the back for modular models. Pressure relief disks are described by their release pressure, not the cylinder service pressure. This PRD is clearly marked with the release pressure in PSI on the hex head and requires 100-120 in-lb of torque for installation. If the PRD is installed in the scuba valve too tightly it will rupture prematurely, and if installed not tightly enough it will leak. Dive Gear Express recommends a new safety assembly be installed by a qualified technician whenever the cylinder is hydro tested and annually if the cylinder is known to have been overfilled.

† XS Scuba actually markets two different brands of valve, their XS Scuba brand with the Safety Handwheel and Thermo brand valves with the standard handwheel as pictured on our page. There are differences between the two brands and that means there are some internal differences. Some of the internal parts for the Thermo brand valves are not compatible with the XS Scuba brand valves. However, our DGX Service Kit for Thermo Valves will also work for the XS Scuba valve as the only difference in the service kits between the two valves is the Thermo brand valve uses a copper crush washer to seal the bonnet nut and the XS Scuba brand valve instead requires either a #015 o-ring (brown) or a metric 13.8x2.40mm (black) o-ring to seal the bonnet nut and the additional parts for the XS Scuba branded valve are included in our service kit.
