The Poseidon One Shoe is a shoe worth wearing above and below the surface.

The Poseidon "One Shoe" bootie is a step-in shoe with bungee laces to keep the shoe slim around the foot. Updated in 2023, the thicker, padded sole makes them great on rocky surfaces and comfortable enough to wear all day. The rear zipper was also removed and drain holes were added. The reinforced toe-cap and heel add warmth, protection and durability. The adjustable, elastic bungee cord closure makes donning and doffing easy.

The high durability rubber sole makes boarding ladders and shore entries a snap. The 3mm Neoprene® fabric and rubber sole easily tolerate harsh marine environments. May be used as a bootie for diving with open heeled fins or simply worn as a shoe for everyday use. Each pair includes removable inner soles for extra comfort and a Poseidon mesh bag that has multiple uses.

Basketball Shoes for Diving... Seriously?

Yes, no joke. There is a long history of divers, particularly freshwater divers in "cave country", having used Converse brand Chuck Taylor Classic All-Star basketball shoes as alternative to expensive drysuit rock boots and dive booties. Because they can be laced up for a good fit and they have a sturdy sole with a reinforced toe, yet are reasonably low profile, they actually do work as a dive boot solution. Of course they work well out of the water too but because CT's are intended for sports played on dry land, there are some problems with durability. Canvas basketball shoes don't hold up well to marine environments; they don't really dry out very well and the lace eyelets rust out (or rip out) fairly quickly. Designed for diving, the neoprene Poseidon "One Shoe" delivers the best of both worlds at the right price.
