The Shearwater Peregrine and Perdix 3 serve different diving needs. The Peregrine is an accessible choice for Air and Nitrox divers, including multi-gas planned decompression. The Perdix 3 adds Trimix and a fixed-PPO2 closed-circuit bailout mode for technical diving.
The displays are different: the Peregrine has a 2.2-inch color LCD, while the Perdix 3 has a larger 2.4-inch AMOLED display. The Perdix 3 offers Big, Standard and Tec layouts to suit different preferences for text size and information.
The Peregrine Original Edition does not include wireless air integration or an electronic compass. The Peregrine TX adds both features. The Perdix 3 also includes a compass and wireless air integration, with support for up to four compatible transmitters.
The Peregrine uses an internal rechargeable battery and wireless charging. The Perdix 3 uses a user-replaceable AA battery, with a titanium bezel and piezo buttons protecting its full-size case.
