The US distributor has adopted the name Obsidian to distinguish the distinctive styling of specific Poseidon regulator components from the word black used simply to describe color. These components were previously identified as “Black,” so you may encounter either name in product descriptions or documentation.

The name change does not indicate a change in design, function, or performance. However, not every Poseidon component that is black in color is an Obsidian component.
