Upgrade to Avelo Mode for Shearwater Research

Avelo Mode displays Avelo dive data on compatible Shearwater computers. The upgrade supports the Tern TX, Teric, Peregrine TX, Perdix 2 and Perdix 3 with compatible firmware. Use it with the Avelo Dive System and either a Shearwater Jetpack for Avelo Diving or a SWIFT transmitter. An unlock code to enable the feature is returned to you by e-mail within 72 hours.

Avelo Mode includes the following:

• Personal/gear/buoyancy setup menu
• Gas time remaining as % of starting pressure
• Tank pressure
• Calculation of your buoyancy status
• User input to “clear” buoyancy status to “neutral”
• Cloud support for Avelo profiles

Together with a Shearwater Jetpack for Avelo Diving or a SWIFT transmitter and Avelo Dive System equipment, using the Avelo Mode on your Shearwater computer can help enhance safety and overall dive performance through understanding the zone of neutral buoyancy, diver workload and efficiency. Ultimately, divers can experience longer dives and more bottom time compared to diving Avelo alone.

You will receive your upgrade code as soon as possible, typically in a few hours. The controlling factor is the exact time of day you place your order and how that relates to Shearwater's office hours. The code is generated manually from your serial number by the Shearwater office staff and it can be as long as 72 hours if you place your order on Friday afternoon before you receive the code by e-mail on Monday afternoon.
