Helpfulness
Strobe light TekTite LED 200
Oct 10, 2018
Very happy with the purchase. Pros: Like the twist on/ twist off switching, the most reliable IMHO. Lexan construction very durable and tough, of course, gotta be careful not to drop it from any height to a hard surface (duh). The attachment points (molded strap holders and molded end loop were good. Haven't really used it enough to gauge battery life, but it seems OK so far and I like that it uses normal readily available batteries (Alk AA) Cons: I really bought this for a rookie dive buddy and I was looking for a bright strobe to hang on an up line so he could find his way back to the boat. This light was just not bright enough for daytime use, it washes out in the daytime ocean. Not sure ANY light would be bright enough for this. Diving in 45 ft vis water, I could barely see it at 45 ft, and I knew where to look. For night diving, I'm sure this would be a great light, although I haven't tried it yet. Orange color? Who cares? I don't - very visible under water, which I wanted in case I dropped it or whatever. Overall, very happy for the price and I would buy it again. (BTW, I also use this light for nighttime dog walking - works great!)
