Choose your Poseidon regulator
Start with the regulator family, then choose the hose and cylinder layout that suits your diving. The first stage attaches to the cylinder; the second stage is the part you breathe from.

| Regulator family | What makes it different |
|---|---|
| Cyklon / Cyklon Metal | A conventional downstream second-stage design, without servo assistance. Choose the standard body or the metal-bodied version. The Cyklon uses its own second-stage hose connection, so hose compatibility matters when selecting accessories. |
| Cyklon X Metal | A metal Cyklon second stage paired with an Xstream-style first stage configured specifically for Cyklon. It combines the Cyklon breathing system with the newer first-stage design and its built-in cold-water protection. |
| Xstream | A compact, lightweight second stage with a servo-assisted upstream valve. The servo mechanism helps control the main airflow during inhalation. The Xstream first stage uses a self-balancing valve design and built-in cold-water protection. |
| Jetstream | Also servo-assisted, with a larger second-stage body than Xstream. Poseidon lists the Jetstream Mk3 with an Xstream first stage. The configurator groups Xstream and Jetstream together so you can explore the available second-stage choices. |
For a compact servo-assisted second stage, compare Xstream; for the larger Jetstream body, compare Jetstream. Cyklon offers the conventional downstream alternative. All three families have a side exhaust and can be used with the hose approaching from either side.
Match the stages. Cyklon and Cyklon X operate at a different intermediate pressure from Xstream/Jetstream. Their first and second stages are not interchangeable across those families. DGX can help confirm the correct combination.
Choose your configuration
These are starting layouts, not fixed packages. Review the selected components, hose lengths, pressure gauge and inflation hoses before sending your configuration.
- Standard
- A familiar single-cylinder arrangement with one first stage, a primary second stage, a backup second stage and a pressure gauge. A straightforward starting point for recreational diving.
- Streamlined
- A single-cylinder layout with the primary hose routed under the arm and the backup held beneath the chin. It keeps hoses close to the body; an appropriate angle adapter can improve the fit at the mouthpiece.
- Longhose
- A long primary hose for donating the regulator you are breathing, plus a short-hose backup beneath the chin. Choose this layout to match the gas-sharing procedures you and your buddy have practiced.
- Doubles
- For manifolded twin cylinders, with a first stage on each post, a long-hose primary and a short-hose backup. Hose routing and inflation connections should suit your twinset and training.
- Sidemount
- For cylinders carried at the diver's sides. Valve orientation and the way you rig the cylinders affect hose lengths and pressure-gauge placement, so this layout needs to be tailored to your equipment.
- Stage tank
- A regulator set for a separate stage, decompression or bailout cylinder. Select the regulator for the intended gas as well as the cylinder and hose arrangement; a stage layout alone does not establish oxygen suitability.
Diving nitrox or oxygen? Suitability depends on the exact model, its condition and preparation, and the intended gas. Include your gas requirements when you contact DGX, particularly for decompression or oxygen service.
