Mares Avanti Quattro+ Fins w/Bungee Straps

The Mares Avanti Quattro Plus fins build upon the popularity, reliability and strength of the traditional Quattro model with an improved blend of high flex materials for increased efficiency. The Quattro Plus uses the same four channel blade design as the original to provide great thrust and efficiency but the Plus fins are made with Mares Hi-Flex materials to give the blade the extra performance edge over the previous model along with a bungee strap for easy donning and removal.

The proven channel thrust system deforms the four rib channels during the fin stroke phases, allowing the blades to arch, thus increasing the size of the blade and consequently the thrust. The water is then channelled in the opposite direction of motion, minimising pressure loss at the side edges of the fin. The stabilising drifts also eliminate ankle torsion. The result is an ultra-high performance fin designed for the most demanding divers.

NOTICE: Dive Gear Express always ships factory fresh fins, but all fin materials have some characteristics that upon close inspection can make the fins appear aged or used. By design, all fin materials are soft regardless of brand, so handing during manufacturing and shipping through various points of the supply chain will inevitably cause the appearance of some minor cosmetic scuffs. Some fin materials, especially rubber, also contain a mold release agent that exhibits a gradual "blooming" of a haze on the surface of the fin as it dries following manufacturing, giving the appearance of oxidation and aging. If the cosmetics are bothersome then they can be improved by scrubbing the surface with ordinary soap, water and a cloth.
