First Stage Body Holding Tool
- Excellent first stage tool for DIY repairs and maintenance
- Includes 3/8" and a 7/16" male threaded end for LP or HP Ports
- Features a "square" center section for a secure vise mount
- Made of marine grade brass material for durability
Clamping a regulator first stage body in a vise may cause irreparable damage. The First-Stage Body Holding Tool has both a 3/8" and a 7/16" male threaded end to allow threading into the LP or HP Ports of the regulator body and a square center section for a secure vise mount. Once screwed into the body, the center bar on the tool slides so it can be moved to provide maximum access to work on the body.

First Stage Holder - Nice Solid Design
Jan 27, 2019
The First Stage Holder is a nice, solid design with a sliding torque bar to ease the entry and securing of the tool into either an IP or HP port. The main body can be secured in a vise for heavier torquing, while the sliding torque bar allows adequate securing and tightning to hand pressure only.
Would definitely recommend this tool to a reg tech!
Very handy - top quality

I got some new ScubaPro regs and ordered this tool along with some other stuff. I was not expecting to need it any time soon. I just wanted to have it for "just in case". I'm glad I got it! I needed it immediately. I was trying to get the bottom LP plug out of the swivel turret of a Mk 25 first stage. Without this tool, holding the swivel still while I get the plug out of the bottom port would have been a real pain. Or I could have torqued against some hoses. As it was, this threaded perfectly (as it's supposed to) into an open LP port on the side of the turret and then gave me plenty of leverage on the hex wrench to get the bottom plug out.
I was expecting this tool to feel like cheap pot metal, just suitable for occasional use by a hobbyist. Instead, it feels nice and heavy, like it's good quality steel.
And this tool was CHEAP compared to the same tool on other sites I checked.
As advertised . . .

This tool is particularly useful -- so much so, that I purchased two, to use simultaneously, to hold a first stage more securely, within a vise, in a "V" shape. The sliding handle is also a nice addition and can easily be moved out of the way . . .
