DGX Premium O2 valves for SCUBA are oxygen clean, using oxygen compatible materials and a lubrication free design.

WE WANT TO PROPERLY SET YOUR EXPECTATIONS: The inlet and outlet on these oxygen compatible valves are oxygen clean copper metal alloy (aka "brass") which exhibit some discoloration that is NOT aesthetically pleasing as chromed brass finishes typical of most SCUBA valves.

This is a NON-modular (aka "standalone") valve that cannot later be used with modular components such as H-adapters and manifold crossbars.

WE WANT TO PROPERLY SET YOUR EXPECTATIONS: The inlet and outlet on these oxygen compatible valves are oxygen clean copper metal alloy (aka "brass") which exhibit some discoloration that is NOT aesthetically pleasing as electroplated chrome finishes typical of other SCUBA valves. If you consider the cosmetics to be important, and maximum compatibility with pure oxygen is less of a concern, then we recommend choosing our standard Nitrox Ready DGX Premium Valves over the DGX Premium O2 Valves.

DGX Premium O2 valves are oxygen clean, using oxygen compatible materials, lubrication free, and when sealed in the original factory packaging is also free of organic and particle contamination. The DGX Premium O2 valve seat & plug assembly has finer threads, making the initial opening action of the valve more gradual and requiring several more turns to fully open than the standard SCUBA valve. The DGX Premium O2 valves have inlet and outlet threads, modular port threads and port plug, seat & plug assembly, dip tube, burst disk assembly and optional DIN-to-Yoke adapters that are not chrome plated. The outside body and other non-friction surfaces of the DGX Premium O2 valve remain chromed for the sake of cosmetics. The DGX Premium O2 valve includes a green colored handwheel and the head of the burst disk assembly is also green.

DGX valves have DIN outlets that can accept optional removable inserts (sold separately) so the valves may be used with yoke connectors. You may see this style of outlet variously described as Pro, 200-Bar DIN (G 5/8 BSP), or 232-Bar DIN. All these different names apply to exactly the same style valve outlet, which is suitable for use with the 3442 psi service pressure cylinders and any DIN style regulator or (with the addition of an optional insert) converted for any yoke style regulator. Inlets have imperial 0.750-14 NPSM (3/4 NPS) neck threads for use with modern aluminum and steel SCUBA tanks manufactured for the North American market. Inlets also include a threaded 'dip tube' with hex opening suitable for easy dependable installation with a hex key. DGX valves include a nearly indestructible handwheel made from soft rubber formed around a stainless steel insert. The stainless steel insert ensures positive operation with long-lasting life. The large ribs make it easy to open or close the valve even while wearing gloves. The rubber with stainless steel insert handwheel design is the preferred choice of technical divers and several optional handwheel colors are available.
