Shipping and Delivery

We ship most orders the same business day.

About Our Shipping -- We ship from Pompano Beach FL 33073 USA to almost any address worldwide, subject to some restrictions for a few specific countries, via your paid choice of U.S. Postal Service (USPS), United Parcel Service (UPS), DHL Worldwide Express, or the option of Super Saver (where we select the carriers and service levels). You also can choose to take delivery of your order at our retail store location. Orders with paid shipping and all Items marked In Stock, paid-in-full before 2:00 PM Eastern Time (our current local time is: ), usually ship the same day, weekends and holidays excepted. Most other orders ship within 1-2 business days. We'll always e-mail a tracking number when the order has shipped.

Shipping Rates -- The online rates quoted to us by the carrier are the exact same rates we show you during checkout. The easiest way for you determine our domestic or international shipping costs is to simply add your product choices to the shopping cart, select a checkout option, and then enter the ship to address to see all the various shipping options available and their exact cost. Keep in mind that once you reach a minimum order value that depends on the destination, Super Saver shipping for most orders is FREE.

Delivery Terms -- If we arrange shipping then delivery terms are DAP destination (Incoterms 2010). DAP means we are responsible for packing plus shipping costs including guaranteed safe arrival at the ship-to address and ownership transfers to you upon delivery from the carrier. You are responsible for providing a safe and secure delivery location, collecting the order from the carrier and promptly notifying us of any discrepancies. Please note our special conditions for orders delivered to APO/FPO/DPO mailboxes and orders with specified date delivery. If your order specifies In-Store Pickup then delivery terms are EXW origin (Incoterms 2010). EXW means your unpackaged order is available for collection at our retail store location and ownership transfers to you upon exiting our premises.

Super Saver Shipping

Most FREE Super Saver orders ship within three business days. We'll pay the charges for Super Saver shipping and after your order ships delivery is about 1 to 2 weeks for Standard and Expedited is often within 3 business days to major centers. Please select a paid shipping choice if your order is time-sensitive, requires door-to-door tracking during transit, or to choose a specific carrier.

Domestic Paid Shipping Choices

USPS Logo DomesticUS Postal Service Priority Mail provides delivery via mail carrier to all U.S. addresses. Delivery is 3 business days or less to the 50 states, and a variable length of time to the U.S. Territories. Using your USPS tracking number, you can manage delivery of your package with the USPS Informed Delivery® website.


UPS Logo DomesticUPS Ground provides date-definite delivery via private carrier to physical addresses (no PO boxes). Ground delivery is typically 1 to 5 business days depending on the address (see UPS Ground Map). Expedited 2nd Day Air®, and Next Day Air® receive priority order processing from Dive Gear Express and provide date-guaranteed delivery. There is no weekend service for our expedited shipping options. Therefore, an order fulfilled on a Saturday or Sunday does not actually reach UPS until Monday. The day of shipment does not count as a business day, and no weekend or holiday delivery. Using your UPS tracking number, you can manage delivery of your package with the UPS My Choice® website.


International Paid Shipping Choices

USPS Logo InternationalUS Postal Service Priority Mail International provides delivery via mail carrier to any address outside the US. Delivery is about one to two weeks, not counting any time required to clear local Customs. Depending on the destination country, door-to-door tracking information may not be available once the package reaches local Customs. USPS has a maximum value limit of USD $2500.00 on international packages.


UPS Logo International UPS Worldwide Expedited provides fast international delivery to more than 80 countries. Orders receive priority processing at Dive Gear Express and delivery is about one week or less including in-house Customs clearance. Our shopping cart will not provide the UPS Worldwide Expedited shipping choice if service is not available to your country.


DHL Logo International DHL Worldwide Express provides the absolute fastest international delivery via private carrier. Orders receive priority processing at Dive Gear Express and delivery is about 3 business days or less including expedited in-house Customs clearance. Using your DHL tracking number, you can manage international delivery of your package with DHL On Demand website.

Customs Clearance for Small Parcels

International Notice: Orders shipped outside the US are subject to local import fees collected by the courier upon delivery. Please read our SCUBA Diving Equipment Import Duties and Taxes (VAT) page for detailed country by country guidelines to estimating duties and taxes.

Purchasing online for international delivery is simple, not much different than purchasing online from a local merchant, but there is an extra step in the process called Customs clearance. We will take care of Customs clearance for you, but consumers unfamiliar with international transactions are sometimes not aware that their federal government may have import tariffs (duty) on goods entering from outside their country. Likewise, local governments also have their usual consumption or value added taxes (VAT). When purchasing locally, the duty and VAT may be "invisible" to the consumer because they are included as part of the merchant's retail price, although this practice varies widely depending on the locale and product.

As a global retailer, prices shown on the Dive Gear Express website can not include your local tax or duty. We also can not include these as part of our order transaction because tax and duty must be determined by, and remitted in local currency directly to, your government. They are assessed during customs clearance and paid by the carrier as the package enters the country; then the monies are reimbursed to the courier by the package recipient upon delivery. ( Australia is the only exception. ) In some areas, the local courier may also include a small surcharge for paying the duty and tax in advance then collecting in arrears.

Import fees collected by the courier should be not be significantly different than is imposed on any similar local purchase. Refusal to pay your government mandated duty and/or tax to the courier when they attempt to deliver your package can ultimately prove to be very expensive. The package will be automatically returned to us and any refund amount will be reduced by both the outbound and inbound actual shipping costs from the order.

When preparing the documentation required for Customs clearance we are careful to accurately describe the nature, value, and contents of the shipment. Our long experience is that Customs agents are thorough when inspecting our shipments and providing anything other than an accurate description would likely result in a substantial delay and penalty. Keep in mind that Dive Gear Express guarantees safe arrival for all our packages and we wouldn't want to do anything to put that guarantee at risk.
