> CCR EXP Wing (40 lbs Lift)

The CCR EXP is designed for the rebreather diver looking to streamline rebreather hoses. The CCR EXP offers an offset inflator hose that lies just to the outside of chest-mounted counterlungs. The open mid-section allows rebreather hoses to run through the middle of the wing, freeing up space behind the diver's head. This also means airflow is no longer restricted at the top of the wing due to hoses pressing down over the wing. At full capacity, the CCR EXP offers 40 lbs/22 kg of lift and is designed for use with the TransPac, TransPlate or metal backplates. The CCR EXP is designed for use with a rebreather or double tanks and is not for use with single tanks.

The CCR EXP is an adjustable lift wing, sporting an optional Gusset Control System cord that can be used to further streamline the wing when needed, such as when carrying small bailout bottles. The GCS is not a bungee wing because it does not restrict air flow; instead the GCS promotes added streamlining and buoyancy control, while still allowing the wing to inflate to its full capacity. The CCR EXP can be a single or dual bladder wing (see pricelist below). Its unique bladder design allows a single bladder CCR EXP to be altered to become a dual bladder wing at a later date, if desired.

O2ptima DSV 300

The new O2ptima DSV 300 from Dive Rite features an improved WOB, in line with rebreathers that cost much more, and in some cases the O2ptima now outperforms them. The WOB improvement is based entirely on the DSV change to a larger bore and the new mushroom valves, and was achieved without changing the size of the loop hoses. The hoses now attach with locking rings, making assembly easy, and the mushroom valves are now in the hose inserts rather than the mouthpiece. The DIVA mounts on the hose-side of the locking ring, moving it farther from center, which is easier to see and is not obstructive to the diver's view.

The O2ptima continues to have the smallest breathing loop on the market.

Calibration Cap Set for O2ptima

The Dive Rite Head Only Calibration Kit allows the O2ptima sensors to be perfectly and rapidly calibrated without having to repeatedly flush and fill the entire loop. The kit also minimizes the amount of oxygen used for calibration, which is a necessity with small cylinders. The head only calibration kit consists of an inlet cap with a standard BC QR fitting to plug in the manual addition oxygen hose and an exhaust cap fitted with a mushroom valve. The simple to use head only calibration kit allows the canister to be thoroughly flushed with oxygen for calibration and the mushroom valve helps to prevent calibration errors resulting from over pressure. The calibration cap set can also be used as dust caps.

O2ptima Hose Kit

The flexibility of the double braided polyester hoses makes for smoother hose routing particularly with some of the rather convoluted paths seen in rebreathers. Dive Gear Express has developed a package of Miflex XTREME hoses for aftermarket use with the O2ptima rebreather and they work great!

The Miflex Hose Kit for O2ptima is illustrated at right (high pressure hoses not shown). The kit includes the six low-pressure hoses: oxygen solenoid, oxygen and diluent manual additions, ADV, BC inflator, and M-M 1st stage to manifold plus two high-pressure hoses for the SPG's. (The high pressure hoses are not pictured but ARE included.) The other components seen in the photo are NOT included (i.e. the regs, manifold, slide valve, etc.) We have added color coding for the oxygen solenoid hose, and the two manual inflation hoses. If you use a Rite-Source instead of a standard BC power inflator, then you can add our Miflex hose with a fitting for the Rite-Source.

EZ Solenoid Inline Shut-off

The EZ Solenoid Inline Shut-off allows control of the oxygen supply to the rebreather diver dealing with ascents and troubleshooting. The device is very easily accessible, located just above the oxygen manual addition valve on the counterlung. The device includes the special wide centers Y-block manifold with a slide operated valve alongside a BC male QD fitting, together with a BC female QD fitting at the base. Oxygen flows from the first stage to the device, which supplies both the manual addition valve and the slide valve, then from the slide valve to the solenoid. This solution also allows for easy connection of an off board oxygen source to supply both the solenoid and the manual addition.

To install, connect the base to the manual addition valve on the counterlung, then the female QD fitting on the oxygen supply manual addition hose is connected to the QD fitting on the device. The solenoid hose is removed from both the canister and the first stage. A port plug is installed in the vacant first stage LP port. The 3/8-inch male LP fitting end of the solenoid hose is connected to the female LP port on the slide valve. If desired, a separately ordered right angle or swivel LP adapter can be installed at the solenoid fitting on the canister to allow the solenoid hose to more cleanly route from the canister to the slide valve.

To operate, pull down on the slide valve to open the oxygen supply to the solenoid, or push up on the slide valve to close and shut-off the oxygen supply. The slide valve can also be reconfigured in the field to operate in the opposite manner: up to open, down to close.

O2ptima 4th O2 Sensor to Fischer I/O Port Cable

The Dive Rite O2ptima design has provisions for an independent oxygen monitoring solution, including space for a fourth oxygen sensor in the cell array. The aftermarket 4th Sensor Cable uses a Fischer SE103 connector to link with an independent dive computer, and is plug compatible with Shearwater brand dive computers that include the Fischer connector. (Dive Rite offers their own version of this cable with a connector specific for the Nitek Q). The 48-inch long sensor linking cable also includes a sealing gland and a sensor connector, but does require an oxygen sensor with Molex 3-pin connector, sold separately. Installation consists of unscrewing the sealing gland plug and screwing in the sealing gland and cable assembly. If your O2ptima rebreather does not have a sealing gland port for the fourth sensor linking cable, contact us for further information.

> O2ptima Handset Pocket

The Dive Rite Handset Pocket mounts on any standard, 2-inch harness waist strap and is typically used to store the secondary handset to keep it from dangling. Divers who monitor their PO2 from a computer connected to a fourth cell oftentimes use two pockets, one for each handset. There are two versions of the handset pocket available; one is for the Rev "C" Delrin case handset and the other is for the previous metal case handset. A version for the Rev "D" case will be available shortly.

Dust Cap, LP 2nd Stage: 9/16-Inch F

Supplied by OmniSwivel International, this 2nd stage cap seals the standard 9/16-inch fitting found on most regulator second stages. It protects the inlet threads and prevents contaminants from entering when the supply hose is disconnected. It is recommended for the O2ptima rebreather to cover the external threads of the oxygen solenoid inlet port when not in use, for example when traveling.

Rite Source Inline Shut-Off w/Hoses

The Rite Source Inline Supply Shut-Off kit allows a diver to isolate the Rite Source from the diluent supply, in case of a leak or free-flow from their Rite Source. For those who use the Rite Source in a technical dive for bailout or "sanity breaths," the ability to isolate is practically a must. Those sport divers who incorporate the Rite Source for on-board bailout may also find this kit useful.

The LS14500 is UL Recognized, and its R6/AA size has no transport restrictions.

Note the instructions in the VR, Shearwater and Hammerhead Rev "C" manuals regarding battery replacement. The new Hammerhead Rev "D" electronics currently requires a special high drain Lithium Ion rechargeable battery supplied with the electronics, do not substitute other batteries including alkaline and lithium primary chemistry cells which could result in an extremely short service life.
