The Light Monkey LED 21W Dive Light is a bright durable canister dive light offering the tight focus beam with a lot of punch that is preferred for exploration diving. Powered with a sealed lithium chemistry battery, the LED 21W light burns at 1100 lumens of brightness for 5 or 8 hours. The single OSRAM Opto Semiconductor 21W LED offers the advantage of very long 20,000 hour life and the 6° beam width is much tighter than multi-LED arrays. Technical divers prefer the tight beam design for signaling purposes.

Recently LM has updated to an 11 Ahr/5 hour burn time battery with a different internal cell structure as compared with the previous 10 Ahr/4 hour burn time battery. To be clear, our version of their 21W LED light is configured with the new 11 Ahr battery providing the longer five hour burn time, although the part number has not changed. LM also offers a larger 20 Ahr battery option that provides 8 hours of burn time.

LED 21W Canister Lid Inside of Canister, Showing Connectors The Light Monkey canister is made from a solid block of Delrin with two stainless-steel clamps and a nylon webbing belt loop. Locking latches are used to help prevent accidental opening of a latch under water. The battery is sealed into the canister with two female power connectors and provides power to the head through a pair of matching male connectors embedded in the lid. The system has a provision for closing the lid such that the contacts are electrically isolated for travel. The canister lid also contains the canister o-ring, environmentally sealed on/off switch, and boot. The switch is fully recessed into the lid, no switch guard is required. The dry lid is completely sealed providing protection from water intrusion due to a cut cord or switch boot. Sealing glands include strain relief at both ends of the power cord.

Included LiPO Charger The Light Monkey LED 21W light uses a lithium chemistry rechargable sealed battery that has a high energy density, very good cycle life and is environmentally friendly. In addition, lithium chemistry batteries can be stored for several months without significantly losing charge. The included Universal Lithium Chemistry Smart Charger automatically adjusts to 110/220V current and 50/60Hz frequency. A US power cord is included with other cords available. Charging time is approximately 1.5 hour per hour of burn time, for example a five hour burn requires 7.5 hours to recharge. Both sizes of the sealed lithium battery has an equivalent lithium content well below the TSA 25 gram ELC threshold and, when stored in the electrically isolated lid position, does not have any TSA travel restrictions.

The Light Monkey 12 Watt LED is powered by a 5.2 AHr rechargeable lithium chemistry battery pack. Burntime is 300 minutes (5 hours), the light output is 750 lumens at 5600K and has a tight 6 degree focused beam. Available in both standard and sidemount versions, the light switch is operated by rotating the light head for off/on activation. The canister normally remains sealed, charging is done through the light head. 12W With Sidemount Lid The small 12W canister is exceptionally compact and is perfect for travel.

Sidemount Elastic Handmount The sidemount version of the 12W features a canister lid with cord attached at a 90° angle. At 50-inches, the power cord is also 10-inches longer than the standard 40-inches. As with the standard 12W, the light switch is on the light head. The sidemount version also includes both the belt mount and the canister mounting strap to LED 12W Battery Connection optionally use quick links to attach the battery to your butt plate.

Both standard and sidemount versions include an elastic handmount and 2-inch webbing belt mount. The sidemount version also includes a mounting strap w/quick links for backplate or buttplate mounting.

Knife Kit for LM Goodman Handle

Knife in Twist-Loc Sheath The Light Monkey goodman handle has been redesigned to perfectly accept the small Tekna Xtra Edge knife as a line cutter accessory. Recently improved, the blade is now made of high carbon stainless steel, providing increased toughness and better edge holding. Both the sheath and blade handle are now made with propriety fiber and titanium reinforced polymer. The cutting blade length is 1.4-inches and the overall length is 3.5 inches.

Knife Mounted on Goodman Handle The base of the Light Monkey goodman handle is now pre-drilled and threaded to accept a screw which holds the knife sheath attached to either the outside or inside of the bottom of the handle, configured for left or right hand access. Threading an o-ring over the goodman handle and the knife handle itself while it is stored in the sheath helps keep the entire assembly in place until needed. When stored on the outside bottom of the goodman, a flick of the thumb and the knife is ready to be easily withdrawn from the sheath. Along with the knife, Dive Gear Express also includes the stainless steel screw and the o-ring.
