Dive Rite's LED LUX Slimline Canister Dive Light is a bright durable canister dive light suitable for exploration. The LED LUX light burns at full brightness for 6 hours using a rechargeable 4.5 Ahr NiMH battery. The design incorporates a unique LED system created especially for divers that delivers an outstanding combination of high light output and long burn time. LED LUX Light with Elastic Hand Mount

The LED LUX offers the robust nature of LED technology with ten thousand hours of bulb life and a light output of 8,325 lux @ 1 meter, 925 lux @ 3 meters. The 6500° Kelvin color temperature of the LED's is whiter when compared to the HID bulb. The LED LUX Slimline Dive Light is depth rated to 500 feet.

The LED LUX from Dive Gear Express includes BOTH the Goodman and elastic hand mounts. Your light will have the elastic hand mount installed, or if you wish you may replace it with the Goodman hand mount included in the package. While the Goodman hand mount is the traditional favorite, most divers prefer the form fitting comfort of the Dive Rite exclusive depth compensating elastic hand mount. It may be loosened or tightened using the nylon buckle to ensure the best possible fit. The LED LUX Slimline version from Dive Gear Express also includes a FREE carry case.

The power of Dive Rites Slimline rechargeable 4.5-amp NiMH battery and canister delivers six hours of burn time with the LED LUX on a single charge. The Slimline canister is a great choice for any diver seeking a very low-profile light. Length: 9 inches.

The reliable time-tested design of Dive Rite's light canister incorporates several important features, including:

  1. Canister -- The SlimLine canister is machined from a solid block of Delrin.
  2. Canister Lid Mounting Hardware -- Canisters come equipped with two stainless-steel hose clamps and a nylon webbing loop. This enables you to attach your canister to weight belts and tank straps, and to BC harnesses whose waist straps are equipped with 2.0-inch webbing.
  3. Canister Latches -- The locking latches are used to help prevent the accidental opening of a latch under water. By opening these latches, you can quickly access the battery and wiring harness.
  4. Wiring Harness & Plug -- The battery attaches to its wiring harness, toggle switch, power cord, and light head through a quick-disconnect plug. You use this same plug to connect the battery and charger. When doing so, the design of the plug helps prevent you from accidentally reversing polarity.
  5. Canister Lid -- The canister lid contains the canister O-ring, toggle switch, boot and switch guard. The O-ring is what keeps the canister watertight. The toggle switch is a special, environmentally sealed unit. If any hydrogen gas escapes from the battery, the toggle switch does not ignite it. The switch guard helps prevent the accidental switch on/off of the light head.
  6. Power Cord -- The canister lid power cord has been selected to stand up to the rigors of underwater use. There are sealing glands that include strain relief at both ends of the power cord. These glands help form a watertight seal where the cord enters the canister and light head.

The actual close up of a canister lid shows many of the features illustrated in the line drawing. In the photo you can see: The belt mount loop, stainless steel locking latch, environmentally sealed toggle switch and boot, switch guard, sealing gland with strain relief and power cord.

The Dive Rite LUX light system uses a sealed Nickel Metal Hydride (NiMH) battery. NiMH batteries are largely maintenance free. After light use, you need only recharge the battery. The battery should also be recharged every 30 to 60 days if it has remained unused. A special NiMH charger must be used with the NiMH battery packs. Dive Rite NiMH batteries contain no lithium and do not have any TSA travel restrictions. Traveling divers also prefer the NiMH charger because it automatically adjusts to 110/220V current and 50/60Hz frequency. A US power cord is included with other cords available.

Twelve hours of burn time means the Dive Rite LED LUX Quest Canister Light is a true exploration-grade dive light using 10 Ahr NiMH battery. The LED LUX offers the robust nature of LED technology with ten thousand hours of bulb life and a light output of 8,325 lux @ 1 meter, 925 lux @ 3 meters. Operational to a depth of 500 feet (152m), the Quest has a Delrin canister that is indestructible, even under extreme pressures. Weight of light is 5.5 lbs (2.49 kg) including battery. The Quest canister is 8.25-inches long by 4.0-inches diameter. The LED LUX Quest Dive Light from Dive Gear Express includes BOTH the Goodman and elastic hand mounts.
