These actual photographs below helps to illustrate the difference between beam widths of the
previous generation MR11 head using the 10W HID bulb with SunSpot reflector and the 15W HID adjustable
reflector head as well as the LED head. The lights were pointed at a grey semi-gloss painted room
wall at a distance of 6 feet, with a hand positioned on the wall between the two beams. All these lights are so
bright they max the center of each beam in the photo to pure white... thus it's not possible to get a feel for
relative intensity. The current HID and LED technologies are now equally bright, about 1000 lumens. With in-water use, all the lights will have more peripheral illumination than seen in this
simple wall test.
