Assembly Screws, Stainless Steel, Set of TWO

The stainless steel assembly screws are used for attaching various accessories, such as lift bag pouches, suit inflation mounting systems and sidemount buttplates, to a TransPac harness or to a hard backplate. Designed to fit through a 3/8-inch hole, the Stainless Steel Assembly Screws include o-rings to help keep the screw in place. These also are required on modular XT Nomads to hold the wing in place, but they are not required on the EXP Nomads. Sold as a set of two.

Note: we do NOT recommend using these screws to secure wings to backplates. The metal screws will scratch your tank, so instead use the plastic versions.

Assembly Screws, Plastic, Set of TWO

Use this low cost plastic version of assembly screws to secure the wing to a backplate when rigged for a single tank without a single tank adapter. Without the assembly screws, when the BCD is taken off a single tank the wing will hang loose on the cam straps. Note that this function is just cosmetic, some people prefer to omit the assembly screws and this does not cause a problem. In our experience, the plastic versions also work every bit as well as the stainless steel versions for mounting accessories to backplates and they are much lower cost. Designed to fit through a 3/8-inch hole. Sold as a set of two. Note: Dive Rite now includes a pair of these plastic assembly screws with their EXP series wings.

> Delrin Backplate Thumbwheels, Set of TWO

These molded Delrin low-profile thumbwheels can be used in place of metal wing nuts when mounting a backplate on doubles. Metal wing nuts are small and easy to lose, require a washer, are hard to get tight, seize easily, and can scratch or abrade dive gear. These are an all plastic replacement that have been tested to over 2000 lbs. Their larger diameter makes for easier handling, there are no sharp edges, and they don't require a washer. Available in two versions: 5/16-18 thread for all Dive Rite bolts plus the Highland bolts with 8-inch cylinders; or a 3/8-18 thread version for Highland bolts with 7.25-inch cylinders.

> Highland Backplate Speed Nuts, Set of TWO

Designed to be used in place of metal wing nuts when mounting backplates on doubles, these Highland Speed Nuts are milled from a solid block of Delrin thermoplastic. Delrin is lightweight and wear-resistant, with excellent dimensional stability. The outside surface is knurled to enable easier gripping, so assembly and disassembly is a breeze. Additionally, no washer is needed, so they can be easily adjusted or removed without a tool, and they won't scratch your tanks. Available in two versions: 5/16-18 threads for all Dive Rite bolts plus the Highland bolts with 8-inch cylinders; or a 3/8-18 threads version for Highland bolts with 7.25-inch cylinders.
