All Thermo SCUBA valves are polished triple-bright chrome-plated brass for maximum protection and long-lasting beauty in salt water environments. During the manufacturing process, every Thermo valve is tested under high pressure to check for leaks and ease-of-operation. All Thermo valves and parts include a one-year limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship.

All valves available with choice of 200-Bar or 300-Bar outlets. Valve inlets have standard 0.750-14 NPS (3/4 NPS) neck threads for use with aluminum and steel SCUBA tanks, including the new 3442 psi cylinders. The nearly indestructible handwheel is made from soft rubber formed around a stainless steel insert. The stainless steel insert ensures positive operation with long-lasting life. The large ribs make it easy to open or close the valve even while wearing gloves. The rubber with stainless steel insert handwheel design is the preferred choice of cave divers. The black handwheel is standard, and an optional green handwheel is available.

Thermo is experiencing a manufacturing delay on right hand 300 bar modular valves, meaning we are unable to offer Thermo brand 300 bar manifolds, right hand 300 bar H-valves, and right hand 300 bar modular valves until October 2010. All-In-One Valve Repair Tool

Considering the incredible amount of abuse they receive, cylinder valves are some of the most simple and robust devices found in scuba diving. Even so valves occasionally need disassembly and repair, but the tools needed are not commonly available. If you like to DIY, you'll need this handy little device. The All-In-One Valve Repair Tool includes all four tools needed to work on most scuba cylinder valves including our brands from Thermo and Dive Rite (but not Sherwood brand). The tools include: Handwheel Nut Driver, Bonnet Nut Wrench, Safety Assembly Wrench, and Seat Plug Driver. Made from chrome plated steel and the handle has been vinyl dipped for improved grip. This is a quality-engineered tool backed by a limited lifetime warranty from Innovative Scuba Concepts.

Installing the Valve in the Cylinder

Before installing the valve, always place a new neck o-ring (a Viton neck o-ring is always included with our valves). Many pros like to place a very small amount of oxygen compatible lubricant on the first few threads before screwing the valve in to the cylinder neck, but do not lubricate the o-ring. The valve should be tightened a little beyond "hand tight", but we do not recommend the use of a rubber mallet during installation or removal. A wrench should be used across the base of the valve, not the face of the valve. The manufacturer recommends a torque wrench should be used to tighten the valve to 75 foot pounds. However, almost everybody just uses an ordinary adjustable wrench to "snug" the valve. Do not over tighten the valve because it's the o-ring that makes the seal. An inspection should follow tightening the valve; be sure there is metal to metal contact all the around the base of the valve and the neck of the cylinder.

All Thermo SCUBA valves come with a one-piece safety assembly (burst disk) that eliminates the possibility of mismatched components. This greatly reduces the likelihood of accidental incorrect installation of the safety assembly and protects the integrity of your diving cylinder. The safety device is shielded by the valve body to avoid damage during transportation or while diving. All Thermo valves also come with a high-pressure plug and seat assembly manufactured from a high-tensile brass alloy, and the threaded area is coated with Teflon. Both the material and the Teflon coating ensure a lube-less, smooth operation and prolong the life of your valve. The Thermo modular valves incorporate double O-ring seals known for their robust reliability. The double O-ring seal design is the preferred choice of cave and wreck divers.

If you are looking for special valves with 0.875-16 UNF (7/8 UNF) neck threads to fit the older HP "Genesis" (3500 psi) cylinders, sorry but we do not stock that size.
