> Stage Strap Kit w/X-Large S/S Bolt Snaps

A stage or deco bottle strap is a piece of nylon webbing that encircles the stage/deco cylinder's neck and is secured at the cylinder's base by a stainless steel cylinder clamp. Stage straps provide the best means of attaching the two snaps needed to fasten the stage/deco cylinder to your shoulder and waist D-rings. The Dive Rite Stage/Deco straps can also provide a carrying handle, and the extra large base loop of the clips provide an attachment point for stowing regulator second stages.

Dive Rite® stage/deco straps are made from 2,200 lbs tensile strength nylon webbing that resists breakage, rot and splitting, to create a durable and long-lasting foundation for stage rigging. It's better than round cord because it does not stretch and lies flat against the side of the cylinder making it less likely to get caught on things. A loop to encircle the neck of the cylinder is already sewn in place. Just below the loop (the position is adjustable) is a snap that attaches to your shoulder strap D-ring. The strap then runs through a piece of vinyl tubing that acts as a carrying handle. The strap next passes under either a sheathed stainless steel cylinder clamp or compact cam strap. Some divers who travel prefer to replace the cylinder clamp with a cam strap so the entire bottle strap assembly can be easily installed or removed without need for screwdriver. At the far end of the strap is the snap used to clip off to the D-ring on your waist belt. The hose retainer is used to dress the regulator hose neatly against the cylinder. > Travel Stage Strap Kit

The Dive Gear Express exclusive Travel Stage Strap Kit includes all the items needed to configure a stage, deco or sidemount bottle using a deluxe 4-inch hose retainer and a compact 1.5-inch Low Profile Cam Strap. The manner in which the 1-inch nylon webbing captures the retainer allows the retainer and cam band to be repositioned along the length of the cylinder, yet the retainer and cam band always stay with the strap when the assembly is removed. Using the cam strap, instead of the cylinder clamp, offers an advantage that the entire stage/deco strap assembly can quickly be installed, removed, repositioned or adjusted without need for any tools.

The kit is available for aluminum small (approximately 5.5-inch diameter such as AL-40) or large (6.9-inch to 7.25-inch diameter such as AL-72/AL-80) cylinders.

> Hogarthian Stage Strap Kit

The Dive Gear Express Hogarthian Stage Strap Kit includes all the items needed to configure a stage or deco bottle consistent with DIR style diving. This design incorporates braided nylon line threaded through fuel hose to create secure and position configurable attachment points for the special bolt snaps with large 1-inch eyes. Although a common practice, the fuel hose should not be used as a carry handle. Always carry the tank by the valve, because using the hose as a carry handle will cause the rigging to become loose and necessitate readjustment.

The kit is available for aluminum small (approximately 5.5-inch diameter such as AL-40) or large (6.9-inch to 7.25-inch diameter such as AL-72/AL-80) cylinders. The final step would be to properly mark the cylinder with an appropriate MOD Tank Decal.

> Hose Retainers

Over the years, divers have tried countless do-it-yourself methods for keeping stage and deco regulator hoses under control. For example:

• Both surgical tubing and shock cord can roll along the side of the tank, making them harder to manage.
• Surgical tubing oxidizes rapidly and, thus, wears out quickly.
• Shock cord can be difficult to fasten securely.
• Inner tube sections can be difficult to grip.
• Few do-it-yourself methods are cosmetically appealing.
• X-Small clamps and hose retainers fit aluminum 13- and 19- cubic-foot cylinders.
• Small clamps and hose retainers fit aluminum 30- and 40- cubic-foot cylinders.
• Large clamps and hose retainers fit steel 71.2- cubic-foot and aluminum 80- cubic-foot cylinders.

> Deluxe Hose Retainers

Our Deluxe Hose Retainers are made of a proprietary, stretch material used in bandages, that also holds up well to salt water and dries quickly. Silicone strips on the inside of the 4-inch wide band grip the tank and keep the retainer from rolling.

The small size fits 5.5-inch diameter tanks and is available in black or "oxygen" green. The large size fits 7.25-inch and 8-inch tanks and is available in black.

2nd Stage Pocket

The Dive Rite 2nd Stage Pocket can be used to protect the regulator of a staged cylinder. It can also be used as a shield to help avoid accidental deployment of a decompression regulator below its safe Maximum Operating Depth (MOD). To use, detach the second stage and route the LP hose through the slot in the bottom of the pocket. To deploy, pull the second stage out of the pocket, allowing the hose to slide through and leaving the pocket attached to the cylinder.

The pocket flap uses a velco closure and has a 1-inch stainless steel D-ring on the back that can be attached to cylinder stage strap neck clip using a double-ended snap or a quick link. If you prefer, it can also be mounted in a variety of positions by adding a tank strap, and using the 2nd stage pocket's unique H pattern belt loops on the back.
