For shallow cold water depths, most air and nitrox divers use their bottom gas to inflate their drysuit.
However, when diving deeper on trimix, inflating your drysuit with gas mixtures containing helium
can adversely affect the suit's insulating properties. Some divers prefer to use
argon for drysuit inflation,
but even ordinary air is a better inflation gas than trimix. Divers sometimes carry a small
independent cylinder containing their preferred drysuit inflation gas
with just a first-stage regulator and low-pressure drysuit inflator hose.

* Height/Weight is cylinder only, i.e. less valve. All values are approximate.
* Bouyancy is calculated with standard K valve in seawater.
We offer the option of adding Dive Rite's Gravity Weight System with this harness. Designed to hold up to 32lbs of bag shot or block lead weights (16lbs each pocket), the Dive Rite Gravity Weight Pockets give you instant control of your weight system. Strong Velcro fold-down flaps hold the weight securely, yet open easily in case of emergency even with gloved hands in cold water. There are no "insert" pouches to release (or to lose) and the inner chamber is channeled to hold weight in place and prevent sliding. These are great for drysuit divers or divers that require a large amount of weight for proper buoyancy.
