LM Diving Helmet

The Light Monkey Diving Helmet offers increased head protection for diving activities where there is risk of head impact and is often recommended for use with DPV's in overhead environments. The helmet shell is an injection molded high density polyethylene (HDPE) suspended over an adjustable inner cradle. It features nine ventilation holes on the top and sides to release trapped air and has no foam lining that would make it overly buoyant. The adjustable chin strap is fashioned from soft nylon webbing and has a quick disconnect buckle for easy fastening. The LM Diving Helmet is lightweight and low-profile, durable yet comfortable and available in your choice of latte brown, licorice black, cherry red, berry blue, or lemon yellow . The LM Diving Helmet is not suitable for other types of sports activities such as climbing, cycling, skiing or personal watercraft.

The LM helmet fits most heads with a circumference from { 20 to 23 in | 52 to 58 cm }. Only one size is available, and it does not fit everybody, so we recommend you actually measure to be sure of fit before you order.

Many divers also use helmets as a platform to attach backup lights, primary lights and even small cameras. However, doing so will degrade the the head impact protection benefit of the helmet. Light Monkey has affixed a warning label on the helmet specifically recommending against any form of modifications to the helmet if you wish to maintain the integrity of the impact protection.
