Glue-On Thigh Pocket, Velcro Closure

Made of the same tough, rip resistant 1680 denier ballistic nylon as Dive Rite's other daisy chain pockets, the Dive Rite Glue-On Thigh Pocket has a neoprene back that can be glued on to a wetsuit or drysuit using sealant such as AquaSeal Adhesive. The thigh pocket includes daisy chain webbing on the external pocket for clipping Z-knives, trauma shears or any tool that you need in easy reach. Inside the thigh pocket is a 36-inch, looped lanyard to clip off reels, line markers and pocket lights. The pocket includes a d-ring on the velcro closure flap to make it easy to grab and open the pocket flap along with a stainless drain grommet on the bottom.

The pocket is 10-in high x 6-in wide and the internal depth expands from 0.5-inch to 2.5-inches. Please note that the pocket does not include adhesive, which may be ordered separately below.

How to Glue-on Your Glue-on Pocket

Put your exposure suit and your BCD on and mark where you want your pocket. The preferred location would be directly underneath and slightly above where your hand falls naturally on your thigh such that your fingers can reach completely into the bottom of the pocket. Don't even think about trying to eyeball this, you have no hope of getting even close. Then, using the brush, paint the surface of your exposure suit where you will adhere the pocket with the Cotol-240. Do NOT mix the Cotol-240 with the Aquaseal. Next, using a plastic knife like those found in fast food restaurants, evenly spread an entire 0.75 ounce tube of Aquaseal on the back of the pocket. Finally, carefully place the pocket on to the exposure suit according to your markings. Put some weights, like a large stack of books, on the entire pocket. Allow it to cure for at least 24 hours, 48 is better, and resist the temptation to 'check on it'. It will be permanently attached to your exposure suit, as in you won't ever get it off again.

The Dive Rite Thigh Pocket includes an innovative leg band made of a proprietary material used in bandages. The leg band material holds up to salt water and dries quickly, plus silicone strips placed on the inside of the band grip your exposure suit and keep the leg band in place. At 4-inches in width (10 cm), the new leg band will be comfortable and secure. Now made of tougher, rip resistant 1680 denier ballistic nylon, the bellows pocket itself is attached via a buckle on the waist belt. The slide release buckle allows don or doff of the thigh pocket without having to unbuckle the waist belt and slide the pocket off. The thigh pocket includes daisy chain webbing on the external pocket for clipping Z-knives, trauma shears or any tool that you need in easy reach. Inside the thigh pocket is a 36-inch, looped lanyard to clip off reels, line markers and pocket lights.
