Ordering, Pricing and Payment

Ordering -- The easiest way for you determine shipping costs is simply add your product choices to the shopping cart. The first time you add an item to the cart, you will be asked shipping destination and the shopping cart will show you shipping options and calculate the actual shipping charges. FREE Shipping to BRAZIL is available for most orders totaling over US $500. The shopping cart contents don't become an order until you select checkout, enter the billing information and actually submit the order. Most orders ship within 1-2 business days. Our experience is most packages shipped via USPS Mail International will arrive in about two weeks time. Sometimes a package will arrive very quickly, within a few days. About equally as often as packages arrive early, they arrive late, but almost all arrive within about three weeks. Delays beyond three weeks are extremely rare, but can be as long as four to six weeks for remote destinations. The usual reason for late arrival of your package is a delay clearing your local customs inspection.

Invoicing and Customs -- All prices and financial transactions are in United States Dollars (US $). Prices for shipment to Brazil do NOT include taxes and duties. Our customers tell us the Brazilian customs duty is 60% (sixty per cent) over the price stated on the invoice. Goods imported using the services of United Parcel Service (or any commercial courier service) will also be charged an 18% State VAT (ICMS). If assessed, these charges are the responsibility of the package recipient. We will not understate the value of the order on shipping documents, or classify the contents as anything other than Merchandise. Your order will ship with a true and correct itemized invoice along with a value declaration for the invoice amount (less shipping cost, if any) described as "Sporting Goods, HS Code = 9020.00".

Multi-currency Prices -- As a convenience for our international customers, Dive Gear Express uses an online currency exchange service to optionally display our prices in different currencies. The exchange rates used are widely published interbank rates and are updated daily. This service should be used only as a guide, because the prices in currencies other than US $ are approximations and your financial institution will set their own exchange rate.

Payment -- Make payment using credit/debit card. We accept American Express®, MasterCard®, and Visa®. We do not charge your card until shortly before your order ships. Alternatively, you may choose to pay with PayPal® or Google Checkout™. To protect against fraud, we perform a detailed verification directly with the cardholder's issuing bank. If your bank does not reply in a timely manner, the processing of your order will be delayed.

How We Ship and Your Shipping Options

US Address Delivery -- We have successfully shipped a great many packages to our customers who are traveling in the US and wish to return home with products purchased from Dive Gear Express. We are happy to accommodate your request for date specific arrival at any domestic US address such as that of a friend, family member, or hotel. Please read our Date Specific Shipping Instructions page for details about this free service.

RAPID International Shipping -- Items marked In Stock ordered before 12:00 Noon, Eastern Time (GMT -4), usually ship from Pompano Beach, FL 33073 USA the same day (weekends and holidays excepted). Most other orders ship within 1-2 business days. Determine shipping costs, if any, by simply adding your product choices to the shopping cart.

Free Shipping Super Saver International is available for FREE on most orders totaling over US $500 to Brazil , but does not provide realtime tracking information. Delivery time is typically about three weeks or less, but can be longer to remote destinations. Free International shipping is not available on cylinders, rebreathers, absorbent, and gas boosters.
USPS Logo US Postal Service Priority Mail International shipping offers low-cost fast delivery (about two weeks to Brazil, not counting any time required to clear your customs), but does not provide realtime tracking information.
USPS Logo US Postal Service Express Mail International is a cost-effective choice for faster delivery (about one week to Brazil, not counting any time required to clear your customs), but does not provide realtime tracking information.
UPS Logo UPS Worldwide Expedited International offers fast delivery to Brazil (less than one week) with rapid in-house customs clearance. UPS.com automatically e-mails you the realtime tracking number when your order ships.
UPS Logo UPS Worldwide Saver International offers the absolute fastest delivery to Brazil (about 3 business days or less) with rapid in-house customs clearance when saving time is the utmost concern. UPS.com automatically e-mails you the realtime tracking number when your order ships. Some addresses may require additional time for in-country transit.

How to Make Merchandise Returns

Warranty -- Everything purchased through us includes full manufacturers warranty. Warranty service usually requires return to either Dive Gear Express or the manufacturer. You pay for warranty shipping costs back to us and we pay for the warranty shipping costs back to you.

Refunds -- Your complete satisfaction is our goal and we have a no hassles return policy. With a very few exceptions (rebreathers, absorbent, boosters, parts, software PINs, and a few other items clearly identified in our pricelists as non-returnable) if any item you purchase from us does not meet your expectations, you may return it for a refund. The purchase price of items returned in unused condition and original packaging within one month of the invoice date will be refunded in the same form as the original method of payment, or store credit if you prefer. Items in any other condition and items returned after one month of the invoice date will be refunded only in the form of store credit. We will issue a refund as soon as we receive your return. Any defective item or incorrect shipment will be replaced at no shipping charge to you, otherwise shipping costs are not refunded.

Authorization -- The invoice is your return authorization. Although not required, we suggest you contact us before returning your purchase because in many cases we can resolve your concerns without creating a return. If you elect to return your purchase, carefully pack your return for shipment back to us and inside the package please include a copy of your invoice. Please help us by making a brief note of the reason for your return on the invoice.

Return Shipping -- Please don't forget you will be responsible for any loss or damage to the product during return shipping. For high value returns we recommend that you select a carrier that offers package tracking, insure your package for safe return, and declare the full value of the package so that you are completely protected if the shipment is lost or damaged in transit.
