The Dive Rite TravelPac is designed for the traveling diver who is concerned about luggage weight restrictions and yet still wants to dive with a backplate/harness/wing system. The TravelPac is a complete back inflation BCD that is a non-modular version of Dive Rite's popular modular Travel wing plus a TransPac harness and soft backplate system. (The TravelPac BC is NOT separate components, the wing/harness/backplate are a single integrated bouyancy control device which reduces both the weight and the cost as compared to a traditional modular system.) Weighing less than 6 lbs (2.7 kg), the TravelPac is streamlined to reduce the weight of the rig keeping it lightweight and very compact, which is ideal for traveling to warm-water destinations. At 27lbs/12kg of lift, the TravelPac can accommodate the typical aluminum or steel 80ft3/12 L tank.

At less than 6 lbs, the TravelPac BC still provides many of the features that experienced divers prefer: a doughnut shape back inflation wing, shoulder and waist mounted removable stainless steel D-rings, 1.5-inch slide release crotch strap, stainless steel cam tank band, top and bottom pull-dumps. The TravelPac price also includes a shoulder, waist and lumbar-back comfort pad set that you can remove to even further reduce the weight.
